How to Participate
- Find a testing center that offers Microsoft Office Word Specialist-level version 2003, Microsoft Office Excel Specialist-level version 2003, Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (2007 Office version) in Word, or Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (2007 Office version) in Excel.

- Register Eligible Exam Immediately Prior to Testing: If the eligible Exam is taken at an Academic Certiport Center, the iQSystem exam delivery tool will prompt the student to register his/her score into the Competition immediately prior to taking the exam. If the candidate chooses to submit his/her score to the Competition, the results of that exam will be automatically entered into the Competition.
- Register Eligible Exam(s) Following Testing: Students may also register any eligible Exam(s) after taking the exam(s) by logging onto his/her Candidate Home Page at www.certiport.com, clicking on the Worldwide Competition link, and following the registration instructions. Eligible Exams registered using this tool must be registered during the official Competition dates of the country in which the eligible Exams were taken. Eligible Exams taken by students at any Commercial Certiport Center may also be registered using this tool.
- Participants will be contacted regarding their results and standings for country, regional and the worldwide competition after the Competition ends.

By participating in the 2008 Worldwide Competition on Microsoft Office, you could have a chance to win tons of great prizes including:
World Champion Grand Prize
The 2008 Microsoft Office Specialist World Champions for Microsoft Word and Excel will each receive a Grand Prize Total Technology Kit including:
- Trophy for participation
- Dell computer laptop, keyboard, mouse
- HP color printer
- Microsoft XBOX including $2,000 worth of games
- Microsoft software (TBD)
The Grand Prize Total Technology Kit is valued at more than $6,500.00 USD.
Country or Region Champion Prize
Each country or region has the option to send up to two finalists in Microsoft Word and Excel to the Worldwide Competition. Finalists will each receive an all-expense-paid trip to compete at the 2008 World Championships on Microsoft Office held Summer 2008 in the USA.
